Rachel Yallop is a talented calligrapher living in the UK.  She recently taught a class teaching participants how to write text in a circle and in a spiral. 

Anne Dickau was fortunate to take the class on line.  She was very excited about what she learned and thought the process and techniques she learned would be something that Inkspot members would also enjoy learning.  Anne contacted Rachel who graciously gave permission to share what she had learned from the class.

The purpose of this meeting is to learn about the planning that takes place in order to write text in the shape of a circle or spiral.  Participants may or may not decide to ink their project.

Supplies needed-

Several sheets of scratch paper 

pencil and eraser

ruler

compass

Ink and pens if desired
