TOPIC: Demo Table Readiness Workshop
Writing at a demo or bookmark table can feel intimidating—especially the first few times. This February guild meeting is designed to help you build confidence, ask questions, and practice in a supportive, low-pressure environment with fellow Inkspots.
We’ll walk through what it really takes to prepare for a bookmark table:
We’ll also talk through practical details like writing names accurately and staying comfortable while working in public.
Then we’ll put it all into action with a guided simulation, where members will take turns being the guest and the writer—so you can experience both sides of the table and build confidence through practice, not pressure.
This workshop is about stretching just enough to grow, getting to know one another better, and walking away feeling more prepared for upcoming demo and tabling events. Whether this would be your first time at a demo table or you simply want more ease and confidence, you’re warmly invited.
SUPPLY LIST:
Bring the tools you already enjoy working with—nothing fancy required. A basic kit is perfect, and sharing is always welcome.
If you have them, consider bringing:
Don’t worry if you don’t have everything on this list—this workshop is about learning and practicing, not having the “right” supplies. We’ll have bookmarks, guidelines, and a supportive group ready to help you jump in.
